Gloria’s House

About
Gloria’s House

Gloria’s House is a Newark-rooted 501(c)(3) organization transforming housing for families. Named in honor of Gloria, a single mother whose life and resilience continue to inspire the organization, Gloria’s House was founded on the belief that housing should be more than shelter. The organization creates thoughtfully designed, family-sized homes that support stability, dignity, and everyday life. Each project is guided by the understanding that where and how people live affects education, health, economic opportunity, and long-term family well-being.

Guided by the principle Home, With Intention, Gloria’s House prioritizes quality design, safety, and community connection. The organization partners with local residents, community organizations, and minority-owned businesses to ensure its projects strengthen neighborhoods while honoring the people who live there.

Gloria’s House builds homes that create opportunity today and a foundation for generations to come.
